D.I.Y. PR: a free taster workshop

Manchester Metropolitan University's business incubator Innospace is hosting a free hour-long taster workshop aimed at entrepreneurs, small business owners and social enterprises.

The workshop, which is led by award-winning journalist Mary Murtagh, covers ten top tips for great press releases and offer advice on what journalists want. The workshop is useful for any social enterprise, charity, public sector organisation, or business, however big or small.

Mary travels all over the UK sharing her knowledge about how businesses can grow by using the media. She trains entrepreneurs, start ups and social enterprises on how to write brilliant press releases, what journalists want and how to fast forward their business by featuring in newspapers, radio and television.
In this hour-long seminar Mary will give her ten top tips for killer press releases, share real life examples of past delegates' media coverage and the positive impact it had on their business and answer any questions you always wanted to ask a journalist but never dared ask.
Feedback from the last session includes:
“Mary’s the lady to talk to if you want your PR to succeed – she’s fab!” – Faye Edwards-Brighouse, Faye Edwards-Brighouse Design
“Excellent training and very practical advice – would definitely recommend” – Helen Williams, Cocoon Fabric Art

    1. Hi, yes it looks like it. There are no restrictions listed on the EventBrite page. It's not organised by the library service - this is a MMU event, but there are still tickets available...
